The Knuckledraggers Scooter Club

We are the Knuckle Draggers Scooter Club, based in the Quad Cities, IL/IA. The club also has a West Chapter with members from Iowa City/Cedar Rapids. We formed in 2006, to bring local scooterists together with the opportunity to share our interests of riding and working on vintage and vintage-style modern scooters.

Meetings:
We meet on a weekly basis during riding season and every two weeks during the winter. The business portion of the meeting begins at 6:30 and we ride at 7:00. We also host the Barrel-of-Monkeys Rally on the first weekend in August.

Membership:
To become a member, an individual must be nominated for membership by a dues-paying member of the club. That nomination must be seconded by another dues-paying member. At that point, the individual’s membership would be voted on by all dues-paying members. A 50% vote is required. At this point, the new member must pay the annual dues of $20. A non-member is not allowed to attend the business portion of our weekly meetings.

Removal from the Club:
A removal from the club is handled in the same manner as induction. A dues-paying club member would nominate an individual. Another dues-paying club member must second that nomination. It is then voted on by all dues-paying club members. Anything over 50% would result in removal from the club.

Governing Board:
The Governing Board is the entity that handles the decision-making of the club. It is comprised of founding club members and the leaders of the West Chapter. Members of this board are:
